Position Summary

Our Client is hiring a Robotics Development Engineer to design and develop AMRs used in sortation, picking and transport. The successful candidate will have a software, engineering and robotics background. This role will be of the Robotics Engineering Team.

The Robotics Development Engineer is responsible for designing new products, features and enhancements for our Client’s portfolio of AMRs, from requirements definition through to testing and deployment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in design, development and maintenance of AMR software solutions
  • Work with outsourced engineering resources to complete design tasks
  • Participate in selecting components  for sensors, controllers, wireless, motors, gearboxes, etc.
  • Participate in developing and reviewing code used in AMR firmware and RCS software
  • Test AMR functionality, debug software, and make design enhancements as necessary
  • Provide technical support to Company internal team as necessary

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in AMR software development or related fields
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science or Robotics Engineering
  • Technical written and verbal language skills
  • Fluent English.  Chinese is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Java 
  • Basic knowledge of front end technology, such as HTML, CSS and Javascript
  • Basic understanding in 3D modeling software such as Autodesk Inventor
  • Understanding of AMR navigation including SLAM for both vision and laser
  • Understanding in ROS
  • Willingness and ability to relocate to Orlando, FL
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally
