Position Summary

Our Client is hiring dynamic and enterprising engineers with experience in supporting software products to join their team in Orlando, FL. As part of a global team, you will be responsible for collecting customer requirements, overseeing customer implementations and collaborating with their engineering team to diagnose and fix product issues.  Travel to customer sites will be required to perform System Integration and End-To-End Testing.The Support Engineer is responsible for registering, tracking, documenting and handling disruptions, errors, and inquiries regarding t-Sort. Technical and verbal language skills are necessary. This includes complex troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Job Responsibilities

  • Gain in-depth technical and working knowledge of Robotics software and products. 
  • Gain knowledge of business problems addressed by the software. 
  • Develop an understanding of customer processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Go onsite to customer locations to integrate, deploy and test Applied Robotics software. Requires in depth knowledge of software messaging flow, understanding log file entries, installing software and testing software changes with on-site robotics and scanner hardware.
  • Research issues and questions by serving as the onsite liaison between the customer and the software development team to facilitate successful deployments.
  • Support Go Live Operations by troubleshooting customer reported issues. This requires onsite evaluation of the symptoms, both via reviewing of log files and witnessing problems firsthand at the site. 
  • Produce bug reports that enable the software engineers to reproduce issues on internal test systems.
  • Respond to customer inquiries on software usage, performance and administration, both before and after Go Live operations commence.
  • Document customer implementations.
  • Research customers’ needs and design a deployment strategy. Communicate recommendations to sales and end-users.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other STEM related degree
  • 5+ years work experience in technical product or software support role.
  • Experience with modern customer management solutions, such as Salesforce, Netsuite, Zendesk, Atlassian Servicedesk, etc.
  • Experience working with relational database systems (MySQL, Oracle, SQLServer, etc.)
  • Experience with JavaScript
  • Demonstrate proficient technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with management, staff and customers.
  • Maintain a highly professional demeanor at all times with customers.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

    Any of the following skills is a plus:
  • Experience with Linux (or variants).
  • Experience with Zebra Scanners and printers
  • Experience with cloud computing, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Dockers.
