Position Summary

Our Client is hiring a Director of Operations. The Director of Operations will be responsible for directing the warehouse, distribution, inventory management and related operations for assigned facilities and is responsible for a safe, profitable operation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Communicates best practices nationwide
  • Initiates process improvement teams
  • Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in the area
  • Develops plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employee resources
  • Reviews costs and makes changes/recommendations to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division
  • Promotes and ensures a clean and safe work environment for food accounts. Reports food safety problems to senior management to initiate action.
  • Travels as needed with the possibility of up to 75% within the first 90 days and 15-25% after the 1st 90 days.
  • Other duties as required and assigned

Minimum Requirements
Experience & *Essential Skills

  • Minimum 7-10 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience and/or knowledge of storage and shipment of food grade items preferred
  • Experience with both inbound and outbound international shipments preferred
  • Knowledge of labor management systems
