Position Summary

The Site Implementation Technician will support the installation, dismantling and moving of our Client’s turnkey Robotics systems according to layout plans, blueprints, or other drawings. As part of the installation team, you are one of the first teams representing our Client’s Robotics to the customer after project award. In this role you will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly of the entire robotic system.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the mechanical installation of our Client’s Robotics systems to ensure project objectives are met
  • Adhere to and support all safety regulations in Orlando and at client sites
  • Ability to translate drawing details to physical installation of system components
  • Establish centerline, using straightedge, chalk line, levels, and transit
  • Assemble and install equipment using hand tools and power tools
  • Replace worn, damaged or defective parts
  • Adjust clearances and alignment of equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Assist with managing the receipt, inspection, security, and deployment of equipment and materials on site and in the Orlando Lab
  • Coordinate with on site Project Management to ensure project technical and schedule objectives are met
  • Ensure project quality standards are met or exceeded
  • Ensure successful system turnover from Robotics to client
  • Willingness and ability to take on any and all responsibilities necessary to ensure successful implementations
  • Willingness and ability to accept additional responsibilities as required to ensure the successful evolution of our Client’s Robotics
  • Ability to perform basic low voltage controls wiring
  • Ability to direct an installation crew
  • Ability to work with product development engineers on system design aspects and material requirements
  • Ability to communicate field modifications to applications engineering to ensure accuracy of “as built” drawing set
  • Ability to contribute to the development of field installation manuals
  • Ability to develop test plans and activities required for test designs in the lab environment
  • Ability to do field adjustments and changes to test systems and customer production systems
  • Aid in packaging and shipping of materials to job sites when in the Orlando office
  • Aid in drawing packages with basic AutoCAD skills

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in mechanical and/or electrical field installations
  • Prior experience demonstrating Customer First attitude
  • Experience with transitioning complex systems to full operation
  • Willingness and ability to perform a variety of network IT hardware installations, not limited to PC, servers, UPS scanners and other IT hardware related items
  • Prior experience working with skilled trades (i.e., electricians, millwrights, riggers)
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Project knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with clients, management, and multidiscipline development teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively and spend up to 2-4 weeks deployed to a specific project site
  • Willingness to work shift hours required to meet project schedule requirements
  • Ability to read and understand schematics for mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Ability to work in tight and elevated spaces
  • In possession of or willingness to obtain forklift, high reach certifications
  • In possession of or willingness to obtain OSHA 30 certification
  • Added Plus: 2-year vocational degree in Millwright applications or another related field preferred
  • *Ability to deliver results for quick-turn projects with aggressive deadlines
  • *Added Plus: Experience in the conception of new product features and enhancements and the detail design prototyping, field test, final design, commercialization and roll out of the same
  • *Knowledge of the Design process and installation/integration process
  • *Preferred experience using AutoCAD reviewer and add redline markups
  • *Possession of current or willingness to obtain a Passport (Highly Preferred)
